The Great Outdoors

 The Great Outdoors

One thing that the past few years has successfully done - is introduce us back to nature. I love photography and often venture out with my camera.

Back in 2017 I challenged myself to create an image every day. That was a significant challenge. It improved my photography immensely but more than anything it gave me an opportunity to get outdoors.

Sometimes nature presented me with beautiful moments. From summer reflections of Ulley to the cold ice waters and blues of winter.

Even industry can provide eye catching moments such as the Sheffield canal.

My key take away from the year was to always be aware of your surroundings and have your phone (or camera) at the ready.

Many of these photographs can be found on my Instagram page.

Technical and creative

Technical and creative I'm technically minded. I work in IT, I'm always connected to technology and have been for much of my life, owning my first computer from age 4. I have always had a brilliant imagination. So its no surprise that I also love my creative side too. I love photography and have been actively perusing it as a hobby for 10 years.  Roger W Sperry developed the left/right brain theory back in the 1960s.  I don't seem to nicely fit the mould of sitting on one side of the fence when it comes to having a dominate left or right brain. I like that. I don't like to think that we can be so easily mapped.
