Ice Hockey

I’ve followed the Sheffield Steelers since their inception back in 1991. The World Student Games came to Sheffield and left a legacy of facilities including the Sheffield Arena.

My friend managed to get some tickets, so I went with his family. Sat in the stands with approximately 300 people I watch my first ice hockey game. To be honest, like many North American heavy sports, there were so many stop/starts, penalties and fights that it was hard to understand. However, it had me hooked.

The great outdoors

I’ve long held a passion for photography.

When you are starting out it just seems easier to photograph a landscape then brave the thought of trying to master portraits.

Growing up in the Steel City of Sheffield landscapes tend to be a little industrial. Back in 2016 I walked the street on my lunch break and captured a variety of photos.

The Sheffield Canal can be stunning at times. The vibrant colours of the boats with the hard steel background make for a fun composition.
